Gary's career began at Animal Care and Control in San Francisco. That experience inspired him to start his own business helping people and dogs form deeper bonds. He has operated his business for over 25 years, becoming one of the first dog walkers in San Francisco. Later he achieved certification as a behavior consultant after graduating from Trish King’s Canine Behavior Academy. He has attended lectures and workshops held by some of the most renowned professionals in the field. He studies group dynamics, learning theory, and aggression. He has education and first hand experience with wolf-hybrids.
He, his wife Feather, their dog “Lux” and the business: Indognation relocated to Asheville in 2010. His business has grown by word of mouth and he's become known as an “out of the box” thinker, employing positive reinforcement as well as holistic methodologies.
He has been a musician, a fitness instructor and currently volunteers for Asheville FM. He dreams of being a drag racer.
