Kay Loveland, Clinical Psychologist & Director of Camp Asheville

Kay is a private practice Clinical Psychologist in Asheville, North Carolina and member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. She has been a leading innovator, presenter, and practitioner in the field of animal-assisted psychotherapy for 20 years. She specializes in the use of Animal- Assisted Therapy for people with Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Attachment Disorders. Additionally, she is active in her local pet therapy organization, Paws on a Mission.  She has received awards from the organization as well as from the city of Asheville for her work with her canine companions, Misha, a sensitive, talented, and opinionated Goldendoodle and Rowan, her 3 year-old Goldendoodle, also a therapy dog, and who keeps Kay laughing every day.
